so many books are ruined by the author actually telling me what happened. like stop it bro i'll figure it out don't worry
#this is a very specific complaint aimed mainly at unhonored and pohl's starburst#unhonored isn't even that bad i just think the metaphor would've worked better if it had remained a metaphor#or like just implied at right#but STARBURST#holy cow STARBURST#like just read the first half then stop#bcos the thing is i LOVE the first bit!!! when you don't know what's going on and there's like a 90% chance they're all just crazy#and talking to will's ghost but they're really just hallucinating#like that is like catnip to me. you have me hook line and sinker#and then ANY BIT AFTER THAT where pohl is explaining things to you it's like. please stop. you're not helping#idk i wish more people read starburst because i need to yell at someone about this book for a minute
